The SA Preschools Blogging Network is a new and innovative way to increase communication between the preschool sites and the wider preschool communites. This central blog provides an opportunity for all directors, staff and coordinators to communicate, collaborate and share the learning happening at all South Australian kindys and preschools. All these sites and district coordinator blogs are/will-be easily referenced and linked to on this blog.
The individual preschool blogs provide the opportunity to share site specific learning.
For example, families at home can access information about the many exciting, engaging and stimulating learning activities provided for children. Visitors to the site are welcome to write a comment which will be read by the staff and children at a later date.
Suggestions include:
* Write about events at your preschool or kindergarten
* Include digital images of these events
* Add a recording of children’s voices
* Allow parents/carers and visitors to post positive comments about the preschool
* Include the content in the preschool’s Annual Report
* Share recipes for play dough, goop, slime etc
* Visit other preschools’ Blog site for ideas and resources
This collaborative online space will automatically become a place where preschool staff teams can exchange learning resources, ideas and activities between sites, districts or across the state.
