What Can We Do Next? June 3, 2007

Firstly, please register for the eTeacher event
- By knowing who (and how many) we are supporting it helps us support you.
When you register please ensure you include the number of students at your site. For ‘Students Involved’ scroll to the bottom of the page before submitting.
Click here to register - It doesn’t matter what stage you are up to with your blogging … also please ignore dates as this collaborative network is ongoing in nature.
For more regarding the eTeacher event and ideas how you might use your blog
- click here for the event’s Moodle support site.
If your blog has been created, log in using the password you have been given (there will be a ‘login’ link on the front page) and you will find yourself at the ‘Dashboard’ - where you control everything.
- Under ‘Welcome to Edublogs’ (after you login) you will see some shortcuts.
We ask, that at this stage you focus your energy on
‘Write a post’
‘Write a page’
‘Update your profile or change your password’
‘Add a bookmark to your blogroll’ - Also click ‘Options’ (ninth tab/page in the dashboard – after you login) to change your Weblog title and tagline (what’s written at the top)
Have a look at http://renmarkwpre.edublogs.org/
For now, you can also go to http://connect.edublogs.org/create/ for a pictorial which has been created to help you develop your blog … eg perhaps you might like to add pictures – with proper permissions of course. Please note that the initial signing up pictures and those showing how to post (eg the editor) will look at bit different as Edublogs is continually being upgraded to make things more efficient.
Other tips can be found here and in future posts - and you can email Anne-Marie or Al.
Best advice? – explore, have fun and think how blogs can best work for you!
‘Write a post’
It doesn’t have to be anything profound. Just something to get started.
When you are ready you can add pictures.
‘Write a page’
Have a look at http://monashkgn.edublogs.org/ ‘recipes’ page
‘Update your profile or change your password’
Not much to do here ![]()
[Please don't change the password given to you.]
‘Add a bookmark to your blogroll’
[Try adding this blog http://hayki.edublogs.org/ S.A. Preschools Blogs]
*** Remember any changes you make ‘Save’ or ‘Update’ ***
